Athletes meet at Caterer Oval, St Peter's College. Our coaches will provide skills based instruction to cover a range of disciplines including runs, jumps and throws.
Please arrive at 9:15 am at Caterer Oval, St Peter's College, to assist with set up. The meet will commence at 9:30 am.
A two week programme is offered such that athletes can participate in all the events on offer over the fortnight.
This meet is for returning members.
This is our first Come and Try session for all new athletes.
The Introduction to Teaching Little Athletics Skills Course is designed to help participants become better placed to assist children to perform basic athletic skills.
The course is great for those who want to know more about the skills of Athletics, so that they may help to coach children, assist at Little Athletics Centres or prepare students for school athletics carnivals.
Participants will be shown how to introduce and teach the fundamentals of each Little Athletics event to beginners.
DURATION: 1 day course – approximately 6 hours
COST: $85.00 per participant
Participants must be 16 years of age at the time of the course to participate.
A competition held between Ingle Farm, Campbelltown, Enfield and Magill Little Athletics Centres. Points are awarded to the best performer in each event for each club. Parents will be required to assist in officiating.
The State Relay Championships provides athletes with the opportunity to compete with other athletes at their club in a large variety of track and field relays at the SA Athletics Stadium.
A mixture of running, jumping, and throwing events allows athletes to demonstrate their all-round athletic ability. Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups compete over one day in a pentathlon (5 events), with the Under 14 age group competing over two days in a hexathlon (6 events) and the Under 15 to Under 17 age groups competing over two days in a heptathlon (7 events). All events are competed at the SA Athletics Stadium.
The State Challenge is a great opportunity for athletes who have not quite qualified for events in the SIC’s to compete in a Championship styled competition at the SA Athletics Stadium.
The SIC’s is the pinnacle competition that athletes strive for to compete against the best of the best from around the state.
